About
As a part of the Small Cyclades island group, along with Koufonisia, Schinoussa, and Donoussa, Iraklia couldn’t be anything less than a paradise island!
It is a calm and somewhat secluded destination, offering privacy and the opportunity to get away from everything!
Iraklia has two very small villages: Panagia, which is located in the center of the island and Agios Georgios, which serves as the main port.
Both villages boast traditional architecture, but Agios Georgios is more developed in terms of tourism. There, you’ll find few rooms and fish taverns.
Other rooms, apartments and villas are scattered around the island.
As for the beaches, they are big, stunning, and mostly unorganized.
Livadi, Agios Georgios, and the beach on the port are the most popular seashores, while you’ll find many unspoiled beaches along the island’s coastline as well.
Most of the beaches can easily be reached by foot, while others can be reached via rough hiking paths.
Hiking is one of the most popular activities to do in Iraklia, especially because of the island’s wild natural scenery and spectacular landscapes.
